Can you protect my property from flooding?

Yes in most cases,Total Flood Solutions can help you. There are a variety of flooding sources and building construction which can result in many different outcomes, depending on flood durations. We understand each of these and given the full flood history can design bespoke solutions for your specific circumstances. Many people do not realise that the walls are not impervious and in certain ground conditions ground water can rise up under foundations of the property.– We recognise these risks and have solutions to ensure that your entire property is fully protected.


How much could it cost to flood protect my property?

It is not possible to provide a specific cost as every property is different and our solutions are bespoke to your property and the flood risks threatening it . All doorways and entrances are slightly different and we account for this with our precision engineered bespoke products. Flood protection can cost anything from a few hundred pounds to many thousands of pounds depending on the type of flooding, how long it remains, property construction and ground conditions etc. Please call us and we can discuss your specific circumstances or complete the enquiry questionnaire and Email it back to us.

Can you guarantee that I will get my property insured for flood damage?

To date all our customers benefit from property flood insurance and we have not had one of our clients refused insurance on commercial terms. Total Flood Solutions has insurance partnerships in place in order that we can ensure property flood insurance is made available should our systems be installed. If you engage TFS to undertake the protection of your property using the solutions we recommend then we can guarantee that we can arrange for your property to be insured. If obtaining property flood insurance, is proving difficult or the cost of your insurance, has become an issue which is troubling you then please call Total Flood Solutions for assistance.


Are Total Flood Solutions products guaranteed?

Yes. Total Flood Solutions guarantees, subject to our standard terms and conditions, that flood water will not pass through our products. You should note however, that where we recommend a complete bespoke solution for your property and you opt only for a single entrance to be protected then it will only be that single entrance that will be guaranteed against flood water ingress.

How do your flood defence products work?

Total Flood Solutions prides itself on making its products easy to use through high quality engineering. Our entrance protection products either retract into the ground, out of sight, or swing into place, like a secondary door. Our waterproof Veneer Walling product is applied as a permanent addition finished in a covering of your choicel. They require no storage and virtually anyone can use them, including the elderly.

What is a flood risk assessment?

A flood risk assessment is an expert assessment of the flood risk of a property. The assessment takes account of the property construction, topography of the area, the flood history of the property,, fluvial, costal pluvial, groundwater, sewage surcharge, run off etc. Total Flood Solutions can provide you with a flood risk assessment which is often a pre-requisite of many insurers to verify the flood risk of a property.

What is PPS 25?

Planning Policy Statement 25 is legislation that was introduced in England in December 2006 to control development on the flood plain. As a result of this regulatory change all developments on land that is at risk of flooding must undertake a flood risk assessment. As a result of the flood risk assessment, flood protection products may be required in order for planning permission to be granted.

Can you assist with obtaining planning permission?

Yes. We have experts who deal with planning applications, who can assist you both for new build matters and for alterations to listed properties. As part of the new build process we can incorporate our products into the specification of the property and coordinate the installation of flood protection with the construction process.

Is it possible to flood protect a property at construction?

Yes. In fact in many cases this can be the most cost effective method of flood protection. We have developed a new build solution which enables flood protection to be built in when the property is being built. Through our partnership with Icopal, we have developed a method of applying flood protection within the cavity walls using impermeable cavity insulation with automatic airbricks to facilitate cavity ventilation and flood water drainage. The impermeable membrane is tied into the entrance protection and with Non- return Valves on the ground floor WC forms an entire property solution.
